Adding the belly pan to the gooseneck for the tiny house Posted on July 4, 2023October 6, 2024 By themilesfiles In my last post, I added the belly pan to the bottom of the trailer. This post covers adding the belly pan to the gooseneck platform. After netting the rest of the vines in the vineyard, we took to measuring MULTIPLE times before cutting up the rest of the metal. In the meantime, we also caulked the seams of the metal on the main part of the trailer. The angles and sizes needed for the gooseneck made this more of a mental task than a physical one. Don’t get me wrong, it was still 100 degrees outside. It was still tough! Luckily, Doug and Phil were up for the task. In the end, we got all the pieces in place. We ran out of screws, so we just did enough to where the metal pieces are now attached to the trailer. Success! Watch the full adventure here: tiny house

I went with a black R-panel metal roofing, which complements… Read More
tiny house Building my tiny house: Sheathing the walls Posted on March 14, 2024March 14, 2024 In my last post, I shared how we framed the roof. It was a completely new experience for me: dealing with mostly 2x6s, lots of angle cuts, and working predominantly on ladders. For my latest project, it was more new experiences! The A-Team sheathed the walls with OSB sheathing with… Read More
